About the Project
The Candy Ears podcast started out as a way to share my passion projects, create a space for play and experimentation, and let listeners in on my creative process.
However, over time, I continued to hear incredible work from my peers that wasn’t reaching the audience it deserved. I recognized the need for a podcast to share and celebrate the work of artists experimenting with sound and storytelling.
Candy Ears became a space to showcase innovative, boundary-pushing audio in all its forms. While I produce most episodes independently, the podcast regularly highlights the work of guest artists.

“Emily’s stunning “Red Car”...manages to unlock Pixarian levels of anthropomorphic feels in a very short piece.”
– Chris O'Keeffe, The A/B Test
“Lovely odes to sound, the show title perfectly describes them.”
– Sharon Mashihi, Creator of Appearances
“None of my clocks tick, but my life ticks". Oh gosh this piece gave me shivers. The rhythms, the sound, the counting, the immersion. It felt so stripped back and raw, I was surprised how much emotion it brought up in me through the simple sounds, rhythms, counting…A reminder that life is full and short and not to be missed.”
– Phoebe McIndoe, Creator of Small Audio Art
