How it Works

Step 1: Exploration

We begin with a call to discuss your needs, whether consulting, creative development, end-to-end podcast production, or something in-between.

Step 2: Development

I guide your team through a personalized Creative Development & Podcast Strategy process. We meet with key stakeholders to identify your organization’s unique voice and design a show that will amplify your values and cut through the noise. We define project goals, budget, and other details needed to create a Production Blueprint.

Step 3: Production

The magic begins! I lead the podcast production process, managing pre-production, interviews, post-production, feedback, and revisions. I assemble the right team to meet the needs of each project.

Step 4: Launch

Your podcast goes live! I partner with client teams on launch strategy, and can bring in additional marketing resources, as needed.

Step 5: Growth

We continue to build momentum, and I provide ongoing support to grow your show.

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL:

Emily is a joy to work with.

She brings incredible positive energy, expertise, and commitment while at the same time it feels like you're working with a friend who cares about the project and is equally committed to accomplishing the goals. Because she's really well-connected, everyone Emily brought to the process was both extremely knowledgeable and enjoyable to work with.

I love the way she drives the process forward with incredible organization and energy but also flexibility when we needed it. The balance of moving the train along but keeping the north star of the process of having a high-quality, entertaining, and compelling end product."

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Seasons typically include 6-12 episodes, plus a Trailer.

The exact scope and budget depend on factors such as:

    • Level of production (ie interview length vs. episode length, number of interviews / guests / revisions, sound design, fact checking)

    • External production team responsibilities (ie just audio, or researching and booking guests, submitting and uploading podcast to the apps, creating show graphics)

    • Additional assets (ie promo videos, ads)

    • Marketing budget (ie paid media on podcast apps)

Budgets can typically be reduced after Season 1 startup costs, and the process becomes streamlined. And there are ways to get creative with a limited budget. Get in touch to learn more.

  • I recommend beginning creative development at least 5 months before launching a new show. This allows 6 weeks for creative development, and 3.5 months for production and launch prep.

  • Nope - it’s possible to manage, record, and produce a podcast completely remotely.

  • Creativity: Partner with teams to think outside the box and expand the boundaries of what’s being done in audio. Gain inspiration from a range of creative disciplines, and produce content that’s uniquely fresh, authentic, and human.

Craft: Create high quality audio stories that are thoughtfully edited, sound designed, and packaged for easy listening.

Positive Impact: Produce audio with a purpose - audio that empowers listeners, amplifies diverse voices, disrupts harmful systems, and promotes well-being.

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL:

“Working with Emily on our podcast was an exceptional experience.

She brought strong vision to a process that needed it, but did so in a collaborative and friendly way that left everyone she worked with feeling great about the project. Her reporting skills, her writing, her attention to detail on the sound and feeling of the piece were all top notch. In fact, as a music lover I have to say her music choices for our podcast were great. We loved working with Emily and happily recommend her to anyone, and we would absolutely work with her again on any future podcasting projects we have”
